What is PTA Executive Board
Every parent is a member of the PTA.
PTA executive board members are parent members who are elected at a PTA meeting by end of each school year. The executive team consists at minimum of a president, a secretary and a treasurer. With a primary mission to build a connection between school and parent community, the executive members are tasked with various responsibilities including meeting with the principal and teachers regularly to find out what goes on in the school and identify areas where PTA can support, informing the parent members at monthly PTA membership meetings to inform parents of such information, facilitating discussion and brainstorming on how PTA can provide such support through fundraisers and other efforts. These monthly meetings are where ideas and planning are initiated. It is important to know that none of our PTA campaigns can materialize without a formal vote, with minimum of 8 parent members. In other words, the executive boards cannot execute any event or make any decision without the membership's approval. This is why we need you to attend the PTA monthly meetings.
The more people involve, the more we can accomplish together.
2019-2020 PTA meetings are scheduled on November 19; December 17; January 28; February 25; March 17; April 21; May 19; June 16.
